FA extend their agreement with Tennent
|
The Football Association and Tennent Caledonian Breweries announce that Tennent’s Lager will extend their investment in the Scottish Cup for a further three years, until the Tennent’s Scottish Cup Final in 2007. An overall investment in excess of £6m in the development and promotion of the sport, from grassroots up, will further cement Tennent’s commitment to Scottish football, in what is one of the longest running partnerships in the game. Scottish FA President John McBeth welcomed the news by saying: 'This is our fifth successive contract with Tennent’s to support the Cup, an extraordinary partnership which goes right back to the 1989/90 season. We have developed a close and successful relationship with Tennent’s and Scottish football is most definitely the winner as this investment benefits both participating clubs and the development of the game at grassroots.'
