Ajax continues long relationship with ABN-AMRO

The Eredivisie club will continued to be sponsored by Netherlands largest bank. The new contract grants the club a minimum income of €7m a-year with additional bonuses for domestic and European achievements. The contract which runs until 2011 will complete 20 years of cooperation, started in 1991. Ajax general director Arie van Eijden explained on the club's website: "ABN Amro are the ideal partner for both our sporting and business goals, ABN Amro is a global banking group, and believe that the relationship with Ajax is a huge boon for their company. Sponsorship of the club contributes substantially to the bank's reputation and image in the Dutch home market."
