Metalloinvest, a company controlled by Alisher Usmanov, will sponsor Russian Dynamo Moscow.
Usmanov is known for his attempts to buy into English Arsenal, despite its board's effort to shut out all foreign investors. Usmanov's holding company has nearly acquired 25 percent of Arsenal, and is the largest shareholder on the club.
The deal with Dynamo is similar to one pulled off between Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich's Sibnet company and Russian CSKA Moscow. It funnels money into the clubs, but avoids conflict-of-interest questions due to having his company invest in the club.
