Anglian strikes partnership deals with Dundee United

Anglian Home Improvements has agreed to a shirt sponsorship deal with the Premier League club Dundee United that will run for two years with an option for a third.

Anglian Home Improvements, a United Kingdom home improvement company, has extensive regional representation throughout Scotland.

While the amount paid was not revealed, the club’s website stated the deal “is thought to be worth above the current market rate for similar deals.”

“We are delighted to secure this new sponsorship deal and to be associated with such a growing brand name,” said Dundee United Marketing Director Stephen Thompson. “Our current deal expired at the end of the season and we have therefore been in discussions with a number of potential new sponsors over the last few months to secure a suitable replacement at this time. Anglian impressed us immediately and this commitment offers significant financial support to the Club in terms of both the period and the amount of the contract.”

Alex McNutt, Chief Executive of Anglian Home Improvements, added, “This sponsorship is a further reflection of our commitment to Scotland and our expansion into Dundee. Again, it helps us to reach a wider audience using the medium of sport and to get involved with the local community.”

Anglian is based in Norfolk and has over 200 retailing and installation outlets across the UK. Last week Anglian signed a similar deal with Scottish Motherwell.

“We are delighted to be in partnership with Anglian Home Improvements,” said John Boyle, Motherwell’s majority shareholder. “The company’s substantial commitment demonstrates very clearly there is still a will to support football in Scotland and clubs such as ours.”
