The Hellenic Football Federation (HFF) and adidas, a sportswear manufacturer that supplies all of the Greek national clubs signed an extended contract through 2012.

"The extension of our sponsorship deal with the Hellenic Football Federation confirms a long-term and successful partnership which started in 2004. The partnership is a natural alliance between the number one football brand and the 2004 European champions," said Herbert Hainer, chairman and CEO of adidas.

"With the tremendous success at UEFA EURO 2004 in Portugal, the Greek national football team has clearly proven that sport is about achieving the impossible. We are proud to have adidas as our official partner and our primary objective will remain to enhance and build a long and dynamic partnership for the forthcoming years," said HFF president Vassilios Gagatsis.

As the official sponsor of UEFA EURO 2008, adidas will supply the official match balls as well as the equipment for the officials, referees, volunteers and ball boys. It also currently provides equipment to the national associations of Argentina, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, Nigeria, Spain, and 2010 FIFA World Cup hosts South Africa.

Other clubs that endorse adidas are UEFA Champions League entrants Italian AC Milan, English Chelsea, English Liverpool and Spanish Real Madrid along with UEFA Cup contenders German Bayern München.

Players that have exclusive deals with adidas are Michael Ballack, David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, Lionel Messi, Kaká, Raúl González and Juan Román Riquelme .
