Augsburg sign partneship deal with PCI

PCI Augsburg GmbH expands its sponsorship of German FC Augsburg (FCA) and from the start of the new season will be one of the club's official partners. The Augsburg construction chemicals producer was already advertising last season on TV perimeter hoardings in the Rosenau stadium. The contract mediated by the sports rights agency SPORTFIVE now gives PCI much more extensive advertising rights. For instance, the PCI logo will be seen from next season on places such as roll-off hoardings and the FC Augsburg partner board. In addition, the company receives a VIP ticket quota for FCA home games.

"This deal has two strong brands from the city working together from now on," said Manfred Grundmann, PCI Director of Sales and a committed football fan. "Our workforce has many contacts and a long-term commitment to FCA. Therefore, the partnership is a clear commitment for us to our location." The proximity of the two companies is already symbolic itself: the PCI Augsburg GmbH headquarters is on the southern outskirts of the city, only two minutes by car from where the impuls arena is currently being built - FCA's new stadium from 2009.

"The partnership is further evidence that the new impuls arena is having a positive effect on the entire region. Swabia's economy is growing along with the new stadium. We look forward to a successful collaboration," said FCA president Walther Seinsch.

PCI Augsburg GmbH is Germany's market leader in tile-laying materials, and also has construction chemicals for builders and flooring in its program. PCI's customers are professional craftsmen, supplied via building materials dealers. "In PCI we have gotten a strong partner in the region to commit to FCA. These reliable partners in the immediate vicinity of the city are very valuable for further strengthening the professional structures here at the club," said the SPORTFIVE team manager Andreas Heim.
