KAPPA Extends Supplier Contract with 1.FC Kaiserslautern

The 1.Bundesliga club and KAPPA Deutschland GmbH have extended their winning partnership by another three seasons, through the end of the 2008/2009 season. KAPPA, an international sportswear and recreational fashions manufacturer of Italian extract, will continue to outfit the club.

The SPORTFIVE marketing agency has negotiated an extensive supplier contract: In addition to the Bundesliga team, the Regional League team and the A and B junior leagues will wear the high-end sportswear bearing the famous trademark. KAPPA will also supply the balls for matches and training. The contract parties agreed not to disclose details regarding the scope and value of individual points in the contract; however, in sum they are well above the terms of the previous contract and also depend on the athletic prowess of the licensed team.

KAPPA Deutschland GmbH CEO Peter Schmidt commented: "We have collaborated very successfully since the 2003/2004 season and are delighted to be able to continue this engagement for the next three playing periods. This means that three strong teams will present our brand in professional football in the next three seasons: the 1. FC Kaiserslautern, Werder Bremen and TSV 1860 Munich."
