EURO 2008 pulled in its second national supporter from Switzerland, linking with Swisscon, a fixed line, broadband and mobile telecoms provider.
Swisscom will play a role in the running and support of EURO 2008, providing telecommunications solutions and expertise before and during the event. It will offer near live coverage, including video highlights and goal clips.
The company has thrown its backing to football in the past. The Swiss Football Association and its national teams are sponsored in part by Swisscom, which now joins UBS as Swiss national sponsors.
Swisscom has access to the full range of brands, logos and graphic elements that represent EURO 2008, along with access to tickets and premium hospitality packages.
UEFA's National Supporter programme is to feature four Swiss and four Austrian blue-chip companies that will help the staging of the event with the services they provide. Österreichische Post AG and Telekom Austria have linked up with the event in Austria.
