Emirates Airline has extended its support for football around the world to France, with the confirmation of a three-year Official Partnership deal from the 2005/2006 season with Paris Saint Germain (PSG), a leading club in France's Ligue 1.

Emirates joins a number of other high-profile companies as an Official Partner of PSG, including Orange and Manpower, and the deal will see highly visible Emirates branding in the club's Parc Des Princes stadium during all home matches. PSG are an exciting addition to Emirates' sponsorship of top-flight football teams and events around the world, which includes 15-year naming rights to Arsenal's new Emirates Stadium in London, and the team's shirt sponsorship from the 2006/2007 season, Official Partner of the 2006 FIFA World Cup and Official Sponsor of the Asian Football Confederation.

Commenting on the deal with PSG, Ghaith Al Ghaith, Emirates' Executive Vice President Commercial Operations Worldwide said: "Emirates is proud to be an Official Partner of PSG. This exciting sponsorship brings us to the very top level of French football, and we believe our association with PSG will further enhance Emirates' brand visibility in France, as well as among thousands of soccer fans around the globe who follow the Ligue 1 matches." "Emirates is a keen supporter of sports around the globe, because we believe it is a great vehicle for us to reach out to our customers, and share in their interests and passions. What better way for an international airline to reach out to its global audience than through football, the world's most popular sport?"

Pierre Blayau, Paris Saint Germain's President said: "I am proud that Emirates Airline is joining the Official Partners of PSG. This airline, already visible in Great Britain with its partnership through the Arsenal Football Club, is going to allow our Club to develop and extend its international awareness."

Dubai-based Emirates is among the world's fastest growing and most profitable airline. Its modern and all wide-bodied fleet of 79 aircraft flies to more than 75 destinations in 54 countries around the globe. In its last financial year, Emirates transported 12.5 million passengers.
