German Hannover 96 has agreed a deal with HDI-Gerling, a property and a life-insurance group, to join the Bundesliga club in the 2008/09 season as its new premium sponsor. Among the benefits included in the sponsoring package brokered for the insurance group by SPORTFIVE are TV-relevant pitch-side advertising space, comprehensive logo placement in connection with the Hanover squad, regional communications measures and the positioning of the company's logo in the AWD Arena. The deal was entered into for an initial term of three years.
Martin Kind, managing director of Hannover 96, emphasised, "To consolidate the club's good development at the competition level, it is important to have partners like HDI-Gerling which stand for stability. HDI-Gerling is an internationally operating enterprise which is also extremely active in our own region. Our new premium partner will definitely help us to further advance the fortunes of Hannover 96."
"I am delighted," said Björn Jäkel, head of the SPORTFIVE team in Hanover, "that HDI-Gerling is placing its confidence in our partner Hannover 96 and will be using the club as a platform for its own advertising and communications activities and for its customers. The deal between HDI-Gerling and Hannover 96 sees us bringing together two strong brands which are no doubt poised to achieve joint success in future."
