English Blackburn has found a new sponsor in Crown Paints, finalising a multi-million GBP deal.

The pact runs for three seasons, starting next year. The value is set between GBP 4 and 5 million.

The club can extend the value with performance bonuses in the contract.

Simon Williams, Head of Commercial and Marketing at Rovers said: “We wanted to find a brand that was the ideal fit for the club and we were also looking for a longer term relationship that will give excellent value in terms of exposure and activation.

“Crown Paints matches the type of business we were looking for and it is an exciting partner for the club. This deal gives us the opportunity to work with a major national brand with the added benefit of a strong local connection.”

Howard Luft, Managing Director of Crown Paints, said: We are a local company but we have a national client base and we want Crown Paints to become synonymous with Blackburn Rovers who in recent years have enjoyed continued success in what is arguably the most popular football league in the world.”

Chris Rawlings, Managing Director of Sportfive UK, said: “We have worked with both Blackburn Rovers Football Club and Crown Paints for a number of years and we are delighted to have been able to bring them together for this exciting partnership. Blackburn Rovers provides a fantastic sponsorship platform for Crown Paints and it is particularly pleasing for Sportfive UK to bring together a partnership with such a strong natural fit, on a local and a national level.”
