Coca-Cola has agreed a three-year sponsorship deal with the 1.Bundesliga club. The company will provide refreshments at the Ostseestadion for the next three years. "We are very pleased that with Coca-Cola a well-know partner has jumped into our boat," said Rostock marketing director Ralf Gawlack." Hansa is the only former East German club left in the Bundesliga, but its ten-year spell in the German top-flight is set to end in the summer. "Hansa Rostock is extremely important for the whole region here and we are very happy that after a three-year long break we are able to continue our long-lasting relationship with the club," said Coca-Cola manager Frank Bündgen. The United-States based company has a long sponsorship tradition in football having been involved in the World Cup as far back as 1930 and became an 'official partner' of FIFA in 1974.
