The English Football League has a new power partner in E.ON, the company that runs Powergen.
E.ON became and Official Energy Partner as part of a three-year deal that lasts until 2010. Part of the deal has E.ON setting up an initiative to draw children out to matches, and helping clubs work on environmental solutions.
"We are delighted to announce our sponsorship deal with The Football League," said Mike Thompson, the head of sponsorship at E.ON UK. "Working more closely with clubs across the League will allow us to extend our reach to football fans, customers and E.ON colleagues in the communities in which we operate."
