The Allsvenskan club has attracted more than €385,000 sponsorship money in the two weeks since it announced the signing of Anders Svensson from English Premier League side Southampton. "The Anders Svensson-effect has been fantastic," club director Thomas Nyberg said. The club only paid 8% of the package to bring back the Swedish international with local companies investing money to come up with the remaining 92%. "Before we had even mentioned brining Anders back, we were hoping for an increase of about €550,000 in sponsor money because of the new stadium and our increased effort on the sponsor side," Nyberg added. "But now it looks as if it will increase with €772,000." The club’s season ticket sales have also increased dramatically. "We have already sold 4,000 season tickets and corporate packages that is twice the amount compared to last year. And it is still one and a half months and we are hoping for another sales push."
