The TUI Group is extending its partnership with German Hanover 96 through to the end of the 2010/2011 season. This was officially announced at a joint press conference given by the club, TUI AG and TUI Germany at the AWD Arena in Hanover. Thus, the club's first team will once again bear the familiar cheery TUI smile on their shirts next season.

"I am delighted that TUI is going to continue to be a strong and dependable partner to Hanover 96 for another three years," commented the club's general manager, Martin Kind, who was very happy with the continued collaboration. "This clearly demonstrates our mutual confidence in each other and is an important step for the club in remaining competitive over the medium term, as well as being able to develop successfully in the future."

The TUI Group's main sponsorship of Hanover 96 dates back to the 2002/2003 season; this season, it will have its TUIfly brand emblazoned on the club's shirts.

"We are delighted to continue the successful brand partnership between TUI and Hanover 96, and to support the club on its way to international success, which also helps us to develop the TUI brand all over Europe," said Michael Lambertz, Group Marketing Director at TUI.

The negotiations with TUI were handled jointly by Hanover 96 general manager Martin Kind and the club's marketing partner, SPORTFIVE. Amongst other benefits, the partnership includes a dominant presence for the TUI brand within the AWD Arena.

"We are very pleased to have created another three-year bond between Hanover 96 and a brand with the international charisma of TUI," declared Björn Jäkel, manager of SPORTFIVE's team in Hanover. "I am sure that this partnership will continue to be a great success!"
