The Irish Football Association (IFA) and sports retailer JJB Sports have reached a one-year sponsorship deal for the new 12-team IFA Premiership. The deal is set to begin this Saturday and will continue throughout the current season.
The IFA has indicated that they were seeking a "valued and reputable company," following the conclusion of a three-year contract with Carnegie. They further expressed interest in finding a sponsor with a sincere interest in the sport and the area.
The new deal with JJB Sports, who already supply the IFA’s kits and act as an Irish Cup sponsor, was well-received by the IFA, especially since the company possessed all the ideal qualities.
"The Association was therefore thrilled to learn of JJB Sports' interest in the sponsorship opportunity" the IFA confirmed.
