Borussia Dortmund partner with Schweiz Tourismus

Borussia Dortmund has partnered with Schweiz Tourismus for a "unique partnership". With Switzerland – along with Austria – hosting EURO 2008, SPORTFIVE brokered the deal, which will begin in March 2007 and run until June 2008.

Borussia Dortmund has been one of the most popular German football clubs in Switzerland, with many fans across the border, thanks to Stéphane Chapuisat in the past and Philipp Degen and Alexander Frei to this very day.

Swiss flags often fly during the club's games. A sweet World Cup reception for Swiss fans in Dortmund in 2006 also left a great impression.

Switzerland will be promoted on the logo walls at the Signal Iduna Park and advertised in commercials on the fan TV, promotional campaigns will be held during the matches and editorial commentaries will be placed in the stadium magazine "Borussia aktuell".

Borussia Dortmund will hold this year's summer training camp in Weggis on Lake Lucerne. During the World Cup in 2006, the Brazilian national team stayed there.
