MLS D.C. United has signed a shirt sponsorship with Volkswagen worth USD 3.7 million a year.
Volkswagen will become the shirt sponsor in what is the second-largest shirt-sponsorship deal in league history.
Volkswagen, which relocated recently from Michigan to suburban Washington, D.C., also assumes the role of official MLS automotive sponsor for an additional USD 1 to 2 million a season.
