Experienced executive Tom Fox has stepped into the role of chief commercial officer at English Arsenal.

With more than 20 years in the field, Fox is expected to bring a wealth of expertise to the club. He is a former Nike and Gatorade executive, working within a number of marketing and branding ventures, as reported by Media Week.

In his latest position, Fox will assume responsibility for sponsorship, brand partnerships, advertising and business development on behalf of the Premier League club.

Fox began with Quaker Oats in 1985 before moving to Gatorade 13 years later. In 1993, he made the switch to The National Basketball Association (NBA) as director of sponsor programs for NBA Properties. He relocated to Hong Kong in 1995 to assume the role of vice-president and managing director of NBA Asia.

The final years of the 1990s saw Fox work with Nike and Gatorade, where he remained until 1997. At that time, he accepted a consulting position at Wasserman Media Group, working with the owner to improve and develop the company’s strategic partnerships.
