English Manchester City and Endemol, the Dutch production group which is responsible for the Big Brother TV show, have teamed up in a media content deal that will keep the club’s venue at the helm of technology.

As a result, Endemol’s Sport division will provide City with home and away coverage, sports entertainment programming, content blocks, and online video. The agreement will also see the emergence of newsletters and magazines, as noted by broadcastnow.co.uk.

Manchester Stadium will therefore act as a media centre, working in conjunction with the club’s marketing and communications departments.

To bring an Arabic and English online global platform to City fans, Endemol Sport has enlisted the assistance of Poke, a creative company with a strong web-based focus.

Manchester City Marketing Officer David Pullan commented on the latest opportunity, indicating Endemol Sport would bring a ‘creative an innovative approach’ to the club, using their presence in international markets.

Pullan further noted that the company will help to increase City’s fan base around the world. Fortunately for the club, Endemol Sport is no stranger to football, following a successful debut with Eredivisie Live last year.

Reports have suggested that Setanta’s demise may have had some bearing on City’s decision to work with the company.
