Thomas Cook selected as 2010 World Cup tour operator

UK-based Thomas Cook Sport will be the official tour operator for the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa.

Football fans will be offered Authorized Travel Packages to the tournament available from their branch offices in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Sweden, and the Netherlands. These packages are expected to go on sale starting in the summer of 2009.

Thomas Cook Sport, an ABTA supported firm, has been a top travel company in Europe and Africa for many years providing ticket and hospitality packages for international sporting events. These include La Liga football matches, golf, and boxing.
