Dutch PSV Eindhoven fans will be presented with refunds for the match to be held on 26 November with Spanish Atletico Madrid. A three-person UEFA panel declared that this Champions League match needs to be played in an empty stadium.

The ruling came after an investigation regarding violent and racist Atletico fans acting out on 1 October during the match against French Marseille.

About 500 fans who have already purchased match tickets will be refunded, as they await the results of Atletico Madrid's appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The Spanish club has two deferred pentalties, one for playing a second match with an empty stadium (delayed two years) and a stadium ban for a third match (delayed five years), which is related to a previous penalty. Madrid was also given a two-match ban and a EUR 150,000 fine to Javier Aguirre, coach, for insulting a Marseille player.
