Beckham in a deal with Gillette

England's captain David Beckham has signed a five-year deal with US company Gillette, worth €50m. Beckham is the highest paid sportsman in Europe thanks to publicity and marketing contracts which will have earned him €34m in 2004, five times his salary at Real Madrid.
