German Bayer 04 Leverkusen has signed a marketing deal with agency SPORTFIVE
for the next eight seasons, lasting through 2015.
The purpose, as is usually the case with deals involving SPORTFIVE, is to boost the club's marketing profile.
Club president Wolfgang Holzhäuser emphasised that Bayer 04 wanted to stay true to its roots of being a small, personal club. But it also wants to build marketing ties at the same time.
At the same time, the club's deal with Sports First, Cologne, will not be renewed. That is set to expire on 30 June.
