The Bundesliga football club HERTHA BSC will continue to rely on the Hamburg-based sports rights agency SPORTFIVE for its marketing. The two agreed to an early extension of their cooperation, which was first signed in 1994. The contract, which originally ran through 2014, will be continued through 2018.

The cooperation with SPORTFIVE (exclusive partner since 1994) and its predecessor UFA SPORTS (from 1992) has been a determining factor in the club's excellent development over the past ten years.

"We are delighted to announce this agreement," said the club Chairman Dieter Hoeneß. "It continues a very successful partnership, one that is an important element in the continued economic strengthening of our club." By entrusting SPORTFIVE with its marketing, HERTHA BSC relies on one of Europe's most renowned sports rights agencies. "Our partnership with SPORTFIVE is very successful and characterised by great mutual trust," emphasised Dieter Hoeneß.

"This early contract extension is evidence of our mutually trusting cooperation," declared Richard Worth, CEO of the SPORTFIVE group. "We are delighted to work together with HERTHA BSC for additional four years until 2018 and to support them in their further development."

Both sides have agreed to keep the financial details of the contract confidential.
