SPORTFIVE, the Hamburg based sports rights agent and FC Augsburg, a football club in the second Bundesliga have signed an early extension of their cooperation.

SPORTFIVE has exclusively marketed all advertising and marketing rights for the club since the 2006/2007 season, and the existing contract has now been extended into the long term.

The assignments handled by the team of five, headed by Andreas Heim, range from recruiting new advertising partners and creating and implementing sponsorship concepts through to marketing the official club homepage.

In the past two years, SPORTFIVE has recruited several important new sponsors for FC Augsburg, including impuls AG as the team's new main sponsor and namesake of its future home ground, and DO YOU FOOTBALL as its new kit supplier.

"‘Never change a winning team!’ The saying holds true not only for sport, but for the team behind the scenes as well. We live by it and look forward to our continued collaboration with SPORTFIVE," declared Andreas Rettig, Commercial Manager of FC Augsburg.

"In the first two years of our collaboration, SPORTFIVE and FCA together recruited a number of strong partners for the club. This success clearly underlines the wisdom of continuing on our joint path," confirmed SPORTFIVE’s managing director Thomas Röttgermann.
