German sports goods manufacturer, which replaced US competitors Nike at the beginning of the current campaign, has reported sales of over 20,000 shirts of the Bundesliga club in the first three months of their deal.

The club’s successful Bundesliga start with qualification for the UEFA Cup through the Intertoto Cup, and the transfers of Cameroon international Timothee Atouba from Tottenham Hotspur and Dutch midfielder Rafael Van der Vaart from Ajax Amsterdam have also fuelled sales.
