Richard Caborn, England's sports minister, did not mince words when it came to ticket prices for the May 19 FA Cup Final.
As the cheapest adult ticket to the event will cost GBP 35, Caborn was asked by BBC Five Live Sport if the price was OK.
"No it's not. The FA must look at it carefully," Caborn said. "They are in the marketplace and I hope they will review the ticket pricing."
Prices will vary from GBP 35 to GBP 60 to GBP 80 and GBP 95. There will be a few available at GBP17.50 for 16 and under.
The Football Association called the prices "sensible" for the final between Manchester United and Chelsea.
"It was important to set ticket prices at a sensible and affordable level," FA chief executive Brian Barwick said. "We believe these are very competitive for what will be a historic match."
Both clubs will decide on their allocations this week. Tickets will be sold via Chelsea and Manchester United ticket offices only, with no general sale.
