SPORTFIVE, the Hamburg-based sports rights marketing agency, is extending its agreement with Bundesliga club Hannover 96, and will take over the club's complete marketing.
The contract, initially signed for seven years, includes recruiting sponsors and managing sponsor relations, plus marketing the corporate boxes and hospitality areas in the AWD-Arena.
Hannover 96 and SPORTFIVE have worked together for over six years on selling shirt and kit sponsorships and distribution of TV rights.
SPORTFIVE will set up a local group in Hannover to ensure that everything runs efficiently and will take over Hannover 96's sponsorship department to augment the group.
"Our collaboration with SPORTFIVE, to date, has gone very well," said Martin Kind, chief executive at Hannover 96. "So it's a logical step for us to build on our existing cooperation."
"We're convinced that Hannover 96 and the entire region have great potential," says Thomas Röttgermann, SPORTFIVE's Managing Director.
"Dieter Hecking's team plays attractive football and the AWD-Arena sets standards for others to follow. Working hand in hand with the club, we now aim to continue developing the Hannover 96 brand."
