UEFA unveiled the new logo in a ceremony at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria. The logo was launched exactly three years before the opening game at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna, Austria. Sixteen teams, including the Austrian and Swiss hosts, will take part in the 13th UEFA European Championship final tournament.

The logo was designed by the London-based consultancy and branding company English & Pockett, appointed to the project last year. The UEFA EURO 2008 brand comprises a variety of logo formats, a visual identity made of six individual and collective graphic icons, including three dimensional perspectives. The visual identity is produced in ten different color palettes.
