Sir Bobby Robson to Open the 4th Soccerex London Forum
England - 11 February, 2008
As the Soccerex London Forum approaches we are delighted to confirm that Sir Bobby Robson, one of footballs finest legends, will open this year’s proceedings. Soccerex will honour the occasion by awarding the former England manager with a Life Time Achievement award recognising his contributions to the beautiful game.
The latest forum debate to be announced focuses upon Synergies across Sports. The panel titled ‘Pitch Perfect Partnerships’ will feature; Eddie Jordan (Formula 1 pioneer), Emanuel Medeiros (General Manager, European Professional Football League) and Ian Ritchie (Chief Executive of The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club). The panel will be joined by one of the senior executives from an American sporting body, whose name will be confirmed shortly.
Long gone are days when sports used to be isolated industries with little in common. Globalization, developments in new media, and an ever increasing pattern of cross-ownership between sports, have opened new opportunities for sporting bodies to engage with each to promote their respective sports.
All panelists bring unrivalled and ‘insider knowledge’ on the innovative ways in which sports can establish effective commercial partnerships with one another. Football, Formula 1 and Tennis are three of the world’s most commercialised sport industries and this panel will provide an insight into the future of cross industry ventures.
The 4th Soccerex London Forum will take place at Wembley Stadium on April 9th. This year’s delegate capacity has been limited to 800 places to maintain the event's exclusivity.
