FIFA has released 812,000 tickets, 27% of the overall total of 2.93m tickets that will be available to the general public, but the tickets will not be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, but by means of an electronic ballot, which will be conducted on 15 April 2005 in Germany. Fans can apply for a maximum of 28 higher-priced tickets - up to four tickets per match for up to seven matches. For the cheapest category tickets, fans can apply for a maximum of two tickets for up to three matches.
