SFX Sports sold to Wasserman Media

Wasserman Media Group, a U.S. sports, entertainment and marketing organization, announced it had purchased the football, rugby, marketing and events divisions of SFX Sports Group, Europe, greatly expanding its existence in Europe.
"As WMG continues to bring additional assets to our clients and portfolio, the acquisition of SFX and the unquestionable popularity of football is a great springboard to expand our presence in Europe," said Casey Wasserman, CEO and Chairman of Wasserman Media Group.
The London based football and rugby clubs of SFX Sports, Europe and its World Cup winners will become part of WMG Management.
