Welsh Cardiff City has sold a record 14,000 season tickets for their final season at Ninian Park. The club's earlier record barely made 10,000 season tickets. Cardiff's ticket sales are an amazing seventh compared to ticket sales for other clubs in the Championship.
The high number of season ticket holders will limit the number of matchday tickets available to only a few thousand.
"I'm delighted that we have had a record number in season ticket sales. It ensures we will have a very good average attendance for this season and I hope it carries through into next season at the new stadium," stated club chairman Peter Ridsdale.
