Following a probe by the European Commission into the sale of mobile content rights, German Bundesliga officials have agreed to change its marketing methods. As a result of the probe, Clubs will be able to sell some of the rights individually, although they also have the option of using the league’s Ligaverband, a central Bundesliga marketing agency as a vehicle, and more football games will be available to supporters over the Internet or on UMTS video mobile phones from the start of the 2006-07 season.
