The Court of Appeal has determined that Welsh Cardiff City will not be responsible for paying back a hefty loan to Langston.
A request made by Langston for "summary judgment" was previously denied by the High Court. The company, who are seeking immediate repayment of the loan, appealed the decision, without success.
Langston is now being forced to consent to a series of repayment terms with Cardiff City or face a lengthy wait for a trial date.
Former Chairman Sam Hammam, who was named as a liable party in the High Court, maintains that he is not responsible for the GPB 31 million advance.
The decision works to the advantage of the club, with a Cardiff City spokesperson expressing their satisfaction:
"This vindicates the public position that we have always maintained with regard to the repayment date."
