A group of agents charged with involvement in illicit payments with English Luton Town are looking to band together for their defense.
The club and former chairman Bill Tomlins have been charged with paying six agents through Jayten, a holding company, rather than directly from the club. That subverts FA rules about open payment.
Mike Berry, an agent who represented the midfielder Carlos Edwards, claimed he was told by an FA official that the case is not a serious threat to the agents. But, with the publicity surrounding the case, it appears Berry and five fellow agents will fight it.
