A High Court judge decided in favour of Welsh Cardiff City, saying there was no reason to order an immediate loan repayment to the Langston corporation. Langston had wanted a summary judgment of GBP 24 million in loans, plus interest to total GBP 31 million. The club has claimed the loans are not due in total until 2016. Now the case could move to court, where it could take as much as 18 months to bring to the docket. Cardiff City also claimed that former chairman Sam Hammam is the driving force behind Langston. Current chair Peter Risdale said administration was likely if the club was forced into a summary judgment. Judge Mr. Justice Briggs said the case was unsuitable for summary determination. He recommended the parties come together and settles their differences outside the legal system.
