Ofcom dropped the FA & BBC investigation
|
Ofcom, the UK Regulator, has dropped its investigation into the BBC's exclusive deal with The Football Association (FA) for radio broadcast rights to FA Cup matches. The complaint was submitted in December by Wireless Group, which has since been taken over by Ulster TV, the company that operates the TalkSport station. It had argued the agreement between the BBC and The FA about the sale of national radio broadcast rights to FA Cup matches breached the Competition Act.
