Valencia claim € 2.4m from Benitez

The Primera Liga club filed a claim with the Spanish Football Federation against former manager Rafael Benitez for leaving the club despite having 12 months left on his employment contract. Although Banitez hoped that the matter will be settled amicably without going to court, he has responded by issuing a counter claim of his own for € 2m owed in wages and bonuses.
