Juventus to get arbitration at Italian Olympic Court

Juventus will make another effort to have its match-fixing sanctions alleviated, heading to the Italian Olympic Committee's arbitration court Oct. 11.

Lazio and AC Milan, two other clubs sanctioned in the scandal, will also appear before the court that day, while Fiorentina's case will be discussed on Oct. 12, the CONI committee stated on its website.

The four clubs were punished by a football tribunal and have launched a series of appeals before sport authorities to have the sanctions reduced.

Juventus, which was stripped of its past two Serie A titles and demoted to Serie B with a 17-point deduction, had initially said it would appeal to a civil court. The club later dropped that option, saying it would instead bring the case to the CONI arbitration court.

Milan began the season with an eight-point penalty, Fiorentina began on minus 19 points and Lazio on minus 11. Reggina, the fifth Serie A team embroiled in the scandal, were docked 15 points.
