FIFA has decided not to take action against the Spanish Club Real Madrid after a complaint was submitted by Manchester United about the luring of its star player Cristiano Ronaldo.
While no official action has been taken, FIFA did issue a warning to Madrid describing the consequences of compelling Ronaldo to break is contract with United.
FIFA released a statement saying, " We can confirm that we received last week a formal complaint from Manchester United related to the player Cristiano Ronaldo and the club Real Madrid. From the documentation received, no breach of contract appears to have occurred yet."
"The Spanish Football Federation has been informed of the complaint lodged by the English club and been asked to remind its member club Real Madrid about the potential legal consequences of a breach of contract without just cause during the protected period and of a possible inducement to such a breach of contract, as established by the Fifa Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players."
Sir Alex Ferguson, manager of the Manchester United says that he will leave the team if Ronaldo is sold to the Glazer family.
Ferguson is firm on his decision not to sell Ronaldo at this time, and doesn't want the Glazer family to be tempted to make the transfer because of their debt of GBP 600 million.
Madrid is planning to launch a GBP 75 million bid to bu Ronaldo.
