FIFA officials have expressed concerns over two articles of regulation governing the Turkish Football Federation, stating that they are contrary to FIFA requirements. Jerome Champagne, FIFA’s deputy general secretary stated in a letter to the Federation that two provisions that cover the election of officials to the Central Referee Committee, and the choosing of a replacement to the Federation’s president in the event of their death or resignation, will need to be changed. Turkish Federation officials responded to the letter, commenting that it would pass it on to the officer of the Minister for Sport, and request that parliament change the relevant legislation to comply with the international regulations.
