Wrexham point deduction appeal was rejected

The appeal launched by the League One club over 10-point deduction penalty imposed by the Football League for going into administration was dismissed by the Sporting Sanctions Appeal Panel. The panel pointed that by going into administration, the club avoided an Inland Revenue winding-up order over a £1m tax bill.
