Quest cleared another case, exonerating agent Willie McKay of any misdeeds involving illegal transfers.
Quest looked into the transfers of Jean-Alain Boumsong and Amady Faye, which involved payments to McKay. The agent did himself no favours in the eyes of Lord Stevens, as he was criticised for a lack of information given to Quest.
McKay was not to be cleared until he helped clarify certain matters. But McKay said he was innocent. He now claims he was the victim of false accusations, saying one of the journalists who fingered him for misdeeds was being strung along by McKay's rival agents.
McKay said his business has been in trouble and his health in decline since he was accused of receiving illicit payments.
