Enrico Preziosi, owner and president of Italian Genoa Football Club, has been accused by local prosecutor, Alberto Lari, of match fixing in the club's 3-2 win against Venice in a Second Division match during the 2004-05 season.
Preziosi could face an eight-month prison sentence if he is found guilty of the fraud charges.
The prosecution has also called for an eight-month sentence for Matteo Preziosi, former club director and son of Enrico Preziosi, and former sports director Stefano Capozucca, along with Venice officials Franco Dal Cin, his son Michele, and Giuseppe Pagliara.
The prosecutor also wants to confiscate EUR 250,000 that was found on Giuseppe Pagliara when he left a factory in Milan that is owned by Enrico Preziosi. The money is allegedly the amount paid to secure the win.
