Officials of the League Two club, which owes £720,000 in unpaid tax and had its repayment plan rejected by the Inland Revenue, expressed concerns over the financial predicament the club is in. Chairman John Fenty insists that the club would only enter administration only as a last resort, and that the objective is to repay the debts and then to progress in a stable manner. The club’s Supporters Trust has set up a ‘Fighting Fund’ aimed to raise money through donations, promotions and events, which will be made available to the club through share purchase.
