Bolton reports profits

The Premier League club has announced a pre-tax profit of £2.6m for the year ended 30 June 2004, compared to a loss of £5.7m last year. Turnover increased from £37.9m to £48.8m primarily due to the team’s improved league position and in reaching the League Cup final last season. TV broadcasting income increased 34% from last year’s £18.4m to £24.8m. The club’s wage bill reported £20.7m, while net debt reduced by £3m to £36.1m, which attracted a reduced
