AEK Athens gets most debts written off

The judges at the country's Court of Appeal voted to grant the Alpha Ethniki club with an exemption under Article 44 of the companies’ law. As a result of the ruling, the club will have 95% of its debt written off under a reclassification, reducing the club's liabilities to around Eu16m.
