According to FourFourTwo football magazine's Rich, England's captain David Beckham has retained his place as the richest football player in Britain with an estimated personal fortune of £65m. Beckham is followed by Arsenal's Dutch striker Dennis Bergkamp, who has made £37m, and then by his Real Madrid team-mate Michael Owen, worth £30m. Manchester City striker Robbie Fowler is fourth with a fortune rated at £28m, ahead of Newcastle's Alan Shearer on £22m and Arsenal's Sol Campbell and Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand, Roy Keane and Ryan Giggs on £20m.
